The team at Black Math participated in a fast paced pitch for a well known banking institution sponsoring the US Open. The ask was to deliver a series of visuals and graphics, with the tennis ball as the hero object. We were asked to maintain 90% realism and 10% whimsy. While we didn’t win the pitch, we were close. We collectively put our best foot forward and gave others a run for their money. My main task was to deliver the most realistic tennis ball possible in a 1.5 day window so all animators had an asset to work with.
